However, some hinge factories will use inferior material instead of SS304 material to cheat customers. When choosing stainless steel hinge, customers can’t distinguish it by eyes, so they usually use a magnet to absorb the stainless steel hinge to judge whether it is made of stainless steel material or not.

As a matter of fact, it’s not correct to test whether stainless steel hinge is made of stainless steel material or not.

A hinge consists of many accessories, which are stamping by molds. Raw material is SS304, but stamping molds are iron, so iron will be left during productive process.
