As a matter of fact, it’s not correct to test whether stainless steel hinge is made of stainless steel material or not.

A hinge consists of many accessories, which are stamping by molds. Raw material is SS304, but stamping molds are iron, so iron will be left during productive process. Moreover, because accessories of hinge are made of anti-rust iron (Notice: the hinge body is made of pure SS304, but other accessories are made of anti-rust iron, because SS304 has strong hardness and is brittle, if used to produce accessories, they will be easy to crack during productive process and in using.), which also can be absorbed by magnet through stainless steel material, so if using a magnet to absorb a stainless steel hinge, it is normal that it can be absorbed by magnet. 1.       Q- The code for the ordinary carbon structural point (limit), it is the first word of Chinese phonetic alphabet. 195 215 235 255 275-represent the number the cold-rolled steel can bear (limit), the unit (MPa ). The Q235 is the best in the strength, plasticity, toughness of the ordinary carbon structural, it can meet the demand of daily use, so the application range is very wide.

2.       S-for steel. P for plate. C for cold-rolled. And the fourth-regular grade C for common.

3.       ST for Steel and the number 12 stand for the ordinary cold-rolled steel.

Cold-rolled steel: Q225-GB912-89

The main origin: Bao steel, steel, Ben steel, Wu steel, Han steel, Bao steel, Tang steel, Lian steel, Ji steel and so on.

Ordinary cold-rolled steel: This is made up of ordinary carbon structural or low alloy structural. It has a good surface quality and a perfect punching property. It requires passing the cold bending test, which is common used in the automotive industry.

High quality cold-rolled steel: mainly include all kinds of high quality cold-rolled steel; the most commonly used is the carbon structural, especially for deep drawing, which is composed of low carbon cold-rolled steel. According to the surface quality, divided it into three parts: I II III, respectively the special senior, senior and high rough surface, according to the drawing, can be divided into ZF, HF and F, due to the toughness of the steel, can deeply divided into A and B, is widely used in the automobile tractor industry.

Cold-rolled steel: with smoothly surface, excellent in processing, commonly used in the automobile refrigerator washing machine and other home appliance, it is also used in the industrial equipment and all kinds of building material. Yesterday, I met a boss whom I’ve known him since 2001 and we’ve done business for four or five years.
He was so happy to meet me at the gate of his factory as soon as I got off the car. “Glad to see you again,Kingwen”, He said.
“Yeah, long time no see”, I answered him with a smile. After 2006, we have not seen each other nearly for 6 years, due to the fact that clients demanded much higher level products，so that they changed cabinet hinge supplier.
After greetings and knowing recent situation between us, he showed me our kav brand hydraulic hinge and said “The soft close function is a little fast. It seems that the furniture hinges we use now are better. Is the buffering effect not enough? It is better that the door can soft close at angle of 30 degree and will not produce noise.

They readily agreed, after finishing installation, he looked at it and said the effect is almost the same.
Moreover, when he pulled the door at 35°Angle and then loosened his hands, the hydraulic hinge they used before didn’t have the function of buffering and made a big noise, while our kav brand hydraulic hinge soft closed with great buffering function and without any noise.
Now customer is very satisfied with our soft closing hinge, and he knew some of his friends also have been using our hinges for years. He suggested that he will place order for our soft close hydraulic hinge and soft close slide in a few days.

So, here underline again by Kingwen, I already uploaded lots of articles about how to distinguish hinges. Currently, with the increasing requirement of customers and development of domestic hydraulic hinges technology, it is difficult to distinguish soft close hinge of bad quality from the one with good quality, if only with our eyes and several close-open movement. We have to try to use them and as the time goes by， there will show up the differences.

F(for friend ): Hello, here is the question, the two cupboards of the cabinet share the side panel, using the half overlay cabinet hinge, but when I open one of the cupboard, it will hit the other, so, how to solve the problem? The gap of the two doors is about 2 to 3mm.

Kingwen Liang: About the question, firstly we should consider whether the door is too thick (Now many people use the 25mm cupboard), if you choose the ordinary 18mm kitchen hinge, then the collision is inevitable, because the door is too thick, its corners will produce an arc. If this is the issue, I suggest you to use the hinge which is made for the thick cupboard. The holes of thick door hinge are generally 40mm, 5mm longer than regular hinge, within using the thick door hinge, can be very good to avoid the angle problem caused by the door is too thick. Secondly, if it is only the ordinary 15mm or 18mm cupboard, and the door hinge is the conventional product ,then you can try to down the adjusting screw a little bit, about 1mm or 2mm on both sides, it may can solve the problem.(You can see how to adjust on the picture above)

Note: Half overlay hinge, the so-called half-cover hinge, hinge in bending; the ordinary thickness is 9mm.

Thank you a lot. The door is too thick indeed, and it is aluminum frame doors. I have replaced the half overlay removable hinge to the half overlay ordinary hinge, then the problem solved.
